If you watch streamers on Tango Live, you already know the gifts are paid with coins. The problem for most of us is paying for them. International cards are hard to get, and the in-app store does not take eSewa or Khalti. This guide shows how to buy Tango Coins in Nepal with your Tango ID and pay in Nepali rupees, without a dollar card.
It takes a few minutes. The only part you really need to be careful with is your Tango ID, so we will spend some time on that.
What Tango Coins are used for
Tango Coins are the in-app currency of Tango Live. You use them to send gifts to creators and streamers during their live sessions. Many viewers in Nepal follow Nepali and Indian streamers on Tango and use gifts to support them or get noticed in the chat.
Coins are added straight to your Tango account. You do not need to give anyone your password or log in anywhere. All we need is your Tango ID.
How to find your Tango ID
Your Tango ID is the number linked to your profile. It is different from your display name, which anyone can change and which is not unique. Always use the ID, not the name.
- Open the Tango app and sign in to the account you want the coins on.
- Go to your profile.
- Find your Tango ID and copy it. Copying is safer than typing it by hand.
If you have more than one Tango account, for example an old one and a new one, check that you are signed in to the right one before you copy the ID. Coins sent to the wrong account cannot be moved.
For other games like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire and Mobile Legends, we have a separate guide on how to find your player ID.
How to buy Tango Coins in Nepal step by step
- Open the Tango Coins page on our store.
- Paste your Tango ID into the Tango ID box.
- Choose the coin pack you want. Packs start small and go up to large amounts, so pick what fits your budget.
- Add it to the cart and go to checkout.
- Choose a payment method shown at checkout and complete the payment.
- Wait for delivery. Once payment is confirmed, the order goes out automatically and usually arrives within a few minutes.
After that, open Tango and check your coin balance. If you were watching a stream, you may need to close and reopen the app for the new balance to show.
Check your Tango ID twice before you pay
This is the most important part of the whole guide. For some games, like Free Fire and Mobile Legends, our store shows the account name after you enter the ID, so you can see straight away whether it is right. Tango IDs are not checked automatically before payment.
That means the store cannot warn you if you made a typo. Delivery is automatic, and an order cannot be cancelled once it is placed. So before you click pay:
- Compare the ID in the box with the ID in your Tango profile, digit by digit.
- Make sure there are no extra spaces at the start or end.
- If you are buying for a friend, ask them to send a screenshot of their profile instead of reading the number out.
Thirty seconds of checking saves a lot of stress later.
Payment options
You pay in Nepali rupees. The Tango Coins page currently lists these methods:
- Fonepay QR: scan the QR with any mobile banking app, then upload your payment slip. Our staff verify the slip and the order goes out right after that.
- Khalti: pay from your Khalti wallet or with Khalti QR from a banking app. A small service charge may apply, and it is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Wallet balance: if you have money in your BS Computer wallet, you can pay with it directly.
Fonepay QR is handy if you do not use Khalti, since almost every bank app in Nepal can scan it. Keep in mind that slip uploads are approved by staff, so they move fastest during support hours.
Store cashback on bigger orders
Orders above Rs 500 earn 1% store cashback in your wallet, up to Rs 50 per order. It is not a lot on a single order, but if you top up regularly it adds up, and you can use that wallet balance on your next Tango order or on any other product in the store.
A few safety tips
- Never share your Tango password or OTP with anyone who offers cheap coins. A real top-up only needs your ID.
- Be careful with offers that look too cheap in Facebook groups or TikTok comments. If something goes wrong, there is usually no one to contact.
- Keep your order number and payment slip until the coins show in your account.
- If you are a student using a parent’s account to pay, let them know first. It avoids confusion when they see the transaction.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a Tango Coins top up take?
Delivery is automatic after payment is confirmed and usually takes a few minutes. With Fonepay QR, the order goes out after staff verify your payment slip.
Can I cancel the order if I entered the wrong Tango ID?
No. Orders cannot be cancelled once they are placed, because delivery starts automatically. This is why it is so important to compare your Tango ID carefully before paying.
Do I need to give my Tango password?
No. We only need your Tango ID. Anyone asking for your password or login code to “add coins” is not someone you should trust.
Who do I contact if the coins have not arrived?
Message our support on WhatsApp with your order number. Support is available from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
